The Concept
With only 11 bungalow/suites, Cala Mia is an eco-friendly romantic resort. The bar-restaurant offers stunning views of the surrounding islands and promises gorgeous sunsets followed by big night skies dotted with millions of stars. A private beach, the infinitive edge freshwater pool, and a small island, accessible by hanging-bridge, which houses a spa, and yoga exercise area allows you to be immersed in sunshine and the sea. The Accommodations
The Bungalow Suites at Cala Mia are each designed as a small and elegant home. Each has its own 'rancho' seating area with a beautiful thatched roof, handcrafted columns, large sofa and hammocks, and a nicely decorated bathroom with hot water shower. All the Suites are less than 10 meters from the sea, with a wonderful view of the ocean and of the beautiful bays, islands, and surrounding nature. Some of them even have private access to the beaches.
Furniture, furnishings, etc. are specially designed by and made by local artists and artisans, with utmost care for detail. The airy suites are located in such a way that they take advantage of the lovely fresh evening breezes, making its ceiling-fa
ns almost superfluous. Bedding choices are one King bed or two twins, and a double bungalow is available for families.
The Restaurant
The restaurant/bar is built on the highest point of Boca Brava, offering stunning views of the surrounding islands and promising gorgeous sunsets followed by big night skies dotted with millions of stars. It is the perfect ambiance to be with old friends, new friends or just a romantic candle lit dinner for two.

Rates & Sample Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive David airport. You are met by a representative of Cala Mia and transfer to Marina Pedregal, at 5
minutes distance. From here Cala Mia's comfortable taxi-boat (free snacks, wine, beer or sodas) takes you on an unforgettable 50 minutes-ride to the hotel. The trip passes through lagoons, mangroves, tidal-wetlands, estuaries, and on the banks of the river you will be able to see indigenous villages and their inhabitants tending their crops or fishing. Overnight in a bungalow suite (choice of one king or 2 twin beds)
Day 2 & 3: The days are free for activities or relaxing (B)
Day 4: At the time of your choosing, you return by 20-minute boat ride to Boca Chica and then overland to the David airport (B)
